Fishing
The No Road Inn is close to some of the best fishing in New Zealand. Charters can be arranged on request or take our dinghy out into the calm waters of Endeavour Inlet and try your luck for some blue cod for dinner. Keep an eye out for the friendly dolphins that frequent the bay.

 

Bush Walks
There are well sign posted bush walks on our doorstep suitable for all levels of fitness. As well as the Queen Charlotte Track you can walk to our waterfall through the native forest, (1hour 30mins return) visit the old antimony mines above the old miners camp further around the inlet (3hours return), or just relax in a hammock under a giant rimu and read about the Moas that walked under the same tree a thousand years ago.

 

Motorised Catamaran Kayak.
A stable double catamaran fishing kayak that can be paddled or fitted with a 2hp motor.
Suitable for 2 adults this kayak will take you to the local fishing spots or just cruise the inlet exploring the many coves and waterways around the inlet.
We can make up a picnic hamper for you to enjoy on a deserted beach.



 

Bird Watching
The No Road Inn starts every new day with a dawn chorus provided by the native birds in the trees just a few meters from the decks.
Grab a book from our libary to help identify the many and varied species or walk to a clearing on our private reserve and they will come to you.

This is a beauty, a round trip with no backtracking.
You get 3 different modes of transport, Helicopter, watertaxi, and airplane, all spoiling you with the magnificent granduer of the Marlborough Sounds.

You begin with a Helicopter ride from Wellington Airport or Queens wharf direct to Ship Cove or to the No Road Inn which will be your base for the next 2 days. The adventure continues on your departure from the No Road Inn with a senic water taxi through the Marlborough Sounds before your Sounds Air flight back to Wellington.
